The Bio‑Oil website uses Google reCAPTCHA to protect against bots. The website also uses functions of the Google Analytics service. General information about the processing and protection of your data by Google can be found at this link.

Contracted Bio‑Oil distributors

When you submit a Contact form, your enquiry and the personal data provided (i.e. name, surname, email address and any details you share in your message) are forwarded to the authorised Bio‑Oil distributor for your selected country/territory, so that they can respond to your enquiry. Your consent or agreement to such processing is considered given when you provide and submit the information. Once your data is forwarded to the distributor, they become the independent data controller for your personal information. Our distributors are contracted to process your personal data responsibly and in compliance with applicable data protection and privacy laws.

Data Retention

We will retain your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this policy, or as required by law. We retain a record of Contact form submissions, however the data in the name, surname and email address fields is removed from the record after 30 days.

Your Rights

Depending on the jurisdiction in which you live (subject to exceptions allowed by law), you have the right:

  • To request access to the personal data we hold about you.
  • To rectify or update your personal data.
  • To request erasure or deletion of your data (your "right to be forgotten").

International Data Transfers

Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards to protect your data. Note that the personal data of users based in the EU who submit an enquiry via the contact form will be transferred to the authorised Bio‑Oil distributor for their selected country/territory or failing that will be transferred to us.
